    prn притяжательное местоимение мой (1). Относительная форма притяжательных местоимений my, his, her, our, your, their перед существительным имеет значение единственный, если существительное стоит в единственном числе, и значение все, если оно стоит во множественном числе:

    my friend — мой (единственный) друг;

    his novel — тот роман, который он написал;

    her children — (все) ее дети;

    my publications — (все) мои публикации.

    Если во множественном числе требуется выделить нескольких людей (предметов) из общего количества, то употребляется конструкция типа

    some (any) of my (his) friends — некоторые (любой) из моих (его) друзей.

    (2). Когда у существительного есть несколько определений и одно из них выражено притяжательным местоимением, это местоимение стоит первым, в отличие от русского языка, где в соответствующей конструкции оно может занимать любое место среди определений:

    his last book — последняя его книга,

    her early poems — ее ранние стихи.
